As with any other surgical procedure, the abdominoplasty has evolved in recent times to provide more natural results with a quicker recovery time. The abdominoplasty, also known as the tummy tuck, is popular among women who have trouble restoring that flat, tight stomach they had in their youth, and often before experiencing childbirth.

This incision for a full abdominoplasty is typically made above the pubic region, where it can be hidden underneath a bikini line or underwear. This allows the abdominal skin and fat to be lifted, removed and tightened from the pubic region to the rib cage.

The mini version of the tummy tuck will have a smaller incision but in the same location.
